Using Aromasalve

Aromasalve can be used on all types of minor cuts, sores & abrasions.  Wet or dry, fresh or old.

Aromasalve is exceptionally easy and pleasant to use.

Clean effected area thoroughly, and apply a thick coating of Aromasalve ointment preferably twice a day.

Before each further application, gently wipe away any existing ointment (make sure there's no dirt in the wound), or gently clean with water, and reapply
For effective natural healing, it is preferable that a scab does not form, so try to prevent the wound from drying out.  If however a scab does form, simply apply a thick coating of Aromasalve over the scab, and leave it to soften.  Do not try and remove a dry scab, as this will interrupt the natural healing process.

Aromasalve promotes natural wound healing from the inside out, and is designed to be able to be used as quickly and simply as possible, without the need for a dressing, however a dressing may be applied if preferred.

Using Aromaheel

Aromaheel is effective for sore, crusty or weeping areas on the heels or body, or dry cracked skin.

It is very safe, easy and pleasant to use, and requires no wrapping.

Gently clean affected areas if dirty, and apply a thick layer of ointment.  For future applications, it is preferable that you avoid washing the effected areas, and simply wipe away any excess ointment and reapply the Aromaheel once or twice daily.

If crusty scabs are present, do not try and remove them, simply apply the Aromaheel over the top, ensuring they are fully covered so that they are no longer visible, and they will gently wipe off after a couple of days, allowing the ointment to reach the skin and bacteria underneath.

If you need to occasionally wash the effected areas, particularly if your horse has long feathers, please use a good antibacterial shampoo, and ensure that you dry the hair thoroughly afterwards.

Aromaheel is a thick ointment which keeps the skin supple, and provides an effective barrier against the wet and mud, which means that your horse can be turned out during treatment if necessary.

Using Aroma Pre-itch

Aroma Pre-itch preventative lotion is available in a spray or roll-on.  It is applied by simply spraying onto  your horse, or it can also be applied by hand.

It is also safe to apply to sore irritated skin, however if your horse has bad sore skin we recommend that you initially use our Aromaitch cream.

Using Aromaitch

Aromaitch is an entirely natural cream, which soothes the itching from fly bites and promotes natural healing of any open sore skin from rubbing.

Simply gently rub cream into affected areas, then apply a thin layer of cream, up to twice a day, to soothe the irritated skin, relieve the itching, and repel the flies.  It will quickly stop rubbing and encourage quick hair regrowth.
